Old bathroom makeover?

I have an old bathroom that’s all white. The floor is tiled. I cant afford to rip out the sink and put in a new one, etc. but are there any decorating ideas that can make things look better? I am paining the walls at some point. I’m thinking of doing a warm maroon color. Thoughts?

  1. That sounds really nice and warm. I would say you should have nice white trim and doors to keep the feeling of cleanlyness

    good luck

  2. Maroon is too dark for a bathroom. Go lighter on the walls. Cream on the walls and Maroon accents would look great. towels, floor rug. Keep some white in the room to make the room look bigger.

  3. I like the look of a darker wall when you have a white floor, especially when the white is carried over to trim..moulding, door frames, etc. Darker walls also make a very nice backdrop for art. One thing that I would do though, to make sure it’s not too dark is get some good lighting. Is there a tub or shower in the room? They can especially become claustrophobic caves if the lighting is poor in a dark room. You should post some pics. :)
